About
Creating order from chaos
Syntropy Labs makes open-source hardware for people who like to know exactly how their things work. Every product starts as a build on my YouTube channel, where I design, prototype and test it in public. The builds people want most become something you can buy here.
I'm Enrique Neyra, an engineer and maker. Syntropy Labs is where my builds go when they're ready to leave the workbench.
Three ways to get a build
- Assembled: finished, tested devices that work out of the box.
- Kits and boards: the pre-flashed core of a build, for people who want to print their own case or customize it.
- Build packs: digital downloads with the case files, wiring diagrams, firmware and a step-by-step guide, so you can make it yourself from scratch.
The first product: Aether
Aether is a local-first air quality monitor built around Sensirion's SEN66 sensor. It started as a YouTube build, launched with a pre-order run in summer 2026, and shipped to customers across the US.
What you can expect
- Open source at the core: device firmware and hardware designs are published on GitHub.
- Local-first: no cloud accounts, no subscriptions, and your data stays on your network.
- Small batches: every unit is assembled and tested by hand.
- A real person: email contact@syntropylabs.io and you'll hear back from me.
